Hello, I'm from the Spanish IF community. Please, forgive my talking in english. :-)

Me and other people from several European IF communities (currently the Italian and Spanish communities, but we are talking with French people also) are trying to create a dedicated team of people to cooperate in the translation of several authoring systems, in order to share informations and "synchronize" the translations of libraries to make things easier.

The main idea is to setup a "permanent" european group that will take the commitment to establish and maintain localization (French, Spanish, Italian, German) of libraries of different non-anglophone countries.

Sharing effort and knowledge would decrease significantly the time to build and maintain libraries.

It could also help all the different non-english communities in Europe to know each other, and minimize the usual "isolation" between them.

What does the German community thinks about this?
